Every Learner is Different | Valarie’s Story
About Valarie
Life before Brooks and Kirk
Valarie had worked in Management in Adult Social Care since 2004.
She left her full-time job as a Care Manager, and wanted to try working as an Assessor. Valarie felt she had the qualifications and experience to help people gain a qualification in Health and Social Care.
At the time, Valarie’s kids were quite young and she wanted a job that was flexible whilst retaining and utilising her skills and knowledge, so the Assessor course was perfect for her.
Finding Brooks and Kirk
Like many of our learners, Valarie found Brooks and Kirk online when she was looking for the CAVA course.
Course Review
“I really enjoyed the course and as a mum of 2 young children I liked that I could work at my own pace and always received feedback in a timely manner which helped me complete the course within my target. The Assessors were brilliant all the way through!
I also enjoyed the assessment day in London and meeting with other learners.”
Life after the Assessor Course
Upon completion of her assessor course, Valarie managed to secure a job with a training company. However, she has since left the company as she relocated.
In the future, Valarie would like to start up her own training company providing NVQ’s in Health and Social Care as well as Apprenticeships, and as such, will need some assistance from Brooks and Kirk to set up!
