The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (QCF) can be seen as the equivalent to the old Internal Verifiers qualification.
Above all, it equips you with all the skills necessary to provide quality assurance of assessments and assessment decisions. However, it does not allow you to be the centre lead or quality nominee. For these job roles, you will need the Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.
The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice consists of 2 units.
Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
Unit 2 – Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
Upon completion of this qualification, you will understand how to and be able to:
– Plan the internal quality assurance of assessment;
– Maintain legal and good practice requirements when internally monitoring and maintaining the quality of assessment
– Manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment
– Internally evaluate, maintain and improve the quality of assessment
The Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is delivered with a mix of online study and a practical training day. The online part of the course allows you to study at a time and place that is convenient for you. The practical training day will take place in either our London, Coventry, Manchester or Boston offices whichever is best for you. On this day you will be observing experienced assessors with their learners and offering them guidance and support.
As part of the course, you will have access to all our online learning resources. In addition, you also have unlimited access to our experienced IQA’s either by telephone or email. In other words, we will do everything we can to help you complete your course successfully.
