The Benefits of Online CPD
Training is a key aspect of any job, and in order to improve within your respective field, having a CPD record is a very important part of this. Once you have qualified as an Assessor, there are many job prospects and opportunities out there. Through CPD you can enhance the skills and knowledge you have, which will make you even more of a catch for prospective employers. The challenge, like with most things in life is finding the time. This is where online CPD courses are the perfect solution.
Flexible Learning
This is something that we talk about quite regularly, but flexibility is one of the main advantages of online learning. You are in control of when you decide to put the hours in for studying. This means you never have to choose between personal development or being there for your learners, you can do both. Through online CPD you can study at your own pace, and in any spare hours that you have during the day.
Variety of Courses
Online courses are still being developed by experts in the field, but are more widely available as they sometimes aren’t as expensive. Online training providers like ourselves can offer a much wider range of courses that traditional providers are unable to deliver. Some of our courses are delivered by a blended learning method; which means they’re mostly online, however require a day of attendance.
We do have some popular online courses which are perfect for CPD, such as the ‘UPPA‘ for those who want to brush up on their Assessing skills; or the Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice, ideal for managers who want to gain a better understanding of the quality assurance processs.
In 2021, we also added another CPD course to our line-up; the ‘Award in End-Point Assessment Principles and Practice‘. This unique, industry informed End-Point Assessment course is exclusive to Brooks and Kirk. Ideal for trainee and qualified Assessors, our EPA Award is completely online and enables you to learn and put into practice the knowledge and skills that are unique to the role of an End-Point Assessor.
As of 2023 we have created another Brooks and Kirk exclusive CPD course! The Award in Inclusivity in Education. This is delivered completely online, with unlimited Tutor support. It counts as 2 hours of Verified CPD and at the end of it you gain another certificate to add to your growing collection.
As there are a wider range of online CPD courses available, this provides you with even more opportunities to enhance your career. You still get the benefit of having tutor support too, so online learning really is the way forward. There are even free courses available, from providers such as MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses).
Starting Your Course
Online learning is the perfect choice for those who either work full time or have a busy home life. Or both! One of the great things about it is that you can start the course any time you like too; you don’t have to wait until September rolls around. Enrolling onto our NVQ Assessor courses is really easy, and with a range of funding options available, you can choose whether to pay in full or in instalments.
Finally, keeping your CPD record up to date is easy with online training courses as you will be provided with the most up-to-date version of the course. The course materials are reviewed and amended much more regularly than with traditional training courses.
If you could like any more information about the wide range of courses that we have on offer here at Brooks and Kirk, please contact us today on 01205 805 155 and we will be more than happy to help.
