Training

Previously known as the TLLS (Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector).

The Education and Training qualifications are designed for individuals who wish to pursue a career in teaching or training. These qualifications provide learners with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to become effective teachers or trainers their area of occupational competence.

These courses are suitable for a wide range of learners, including new teachers and trainers, as well as experienced professionals who wish to enhance their skills and knowledge. They are an excellent choice for those who wish to advance their careers in education and training.

Assessment

Previously known as the A1 assessor course and the D32/33 assessor qualifications.

The assessor training courses are intended for those who wish to pursue a career in assessing learners’ knowledge and skills. The courses cover a range of topics, the principles and practices of effective assessment, the tools and techniques to design and deliver assessment processes, and the ability to evaluate learners’ knowledge and skills and provide feedback.

The assessing qualifications are suitable for anyone with sufficient occupational competence in their sector. They qualify you in a variety of assessing roles, such as On-Programme Assessor and End-Point Assessor.

Quality Assurance

Previously known as the V1 course and the Internal Verifier qualifications.

The IQA qualifications are designed to train already qualified assessors, to become quality assurers, who are responsible for overseeing the assessment process and maintaining quality standards within an organisation. The courses cover a range of topics, including quality assurance and standardisation, risk management, and evaluation of assessors’ performance.

The Internal Quality Assurance qualifications are a step up from the assessor qualifications, and it is strongly recommended that you already hold an assessor qualification before enrolling on to an IQA course.
