Every Learner is Different | Beverley’s Story
About Beverley
Beverley is an activity co-ordinator in a residential care home, and enjoys motor racing and reading.
Life before Brooks and Kirk
Beverley has worked in the Care sector for 20 years. She came to a point where she had had enough, but still wanted to stay in the sector as she had so many years of experience. So she thought to herself; ‘why not go and teach it?’
Finding Brooks and Kirk
Beverley initially spoke to a local college about gaining her assessor qualification, however, was told they had no spaces left. So, she gave City & Guilds a call – and they recommended us at Brooks and Kirk! After a recommendation from the Awarding Body and a google search, Beverley decided her best option would be to enrol with us on her CAVA course.
Course Review
“It was quite enjoyable. I enjoyed doing the course, everybody I spoke to was absolutely lovely and very helpful”
Life after the Assessor Course
In the future, Beverley hopes to gain her Level 3 Award in Education and Training and step into more of an assessing role.
Beverley’s Advice
“I’ve already mentioned to a colleague to get in touch with you guys. Take lots of notes and take your time. It’s a course you do in your own time, rather than in a set time that you can stress yourself out trying to complete.”
