Unit 1: Understanding the Principles and Practices of Internally Assuring the Quality of Assessment
This unit gives learners a solid understanding of assessment ideas and techniques, setting the foundations for successful internal quality assurance. It also introduces learners to the concepts and procedures of internal quality assurance.
Topics included in this unit are varied and give you an idea of the principles and practices of assessment, as well as the roles and responsibilities of an IQA. Moreover, it can include the importance of standardisation and quality assurance methods and the legal and regulatory frameworks that regulate assessments.
Unit 2: Internally Assure the Quality of Assessment
Moving onto Unit 2, trainee IQAs will be able to apply their knowledge in a practical situation. In this unit, you’ll be responsible for supervising the work of two assessors, each of whom is in charge of at least two learners. To give you a real-world experience, we will integrate you into our existing IQA processes, allowing you to evaluate our assessors.
This means you will have access to everything you need. Two assessors and two learners! The practical session will take place online, meaning you can complete it from the comfort of your own home. Excluding any travel to and from the centre, making it more flexible for you overall.
