Our Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Brooks and Kirk Limited is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all of its operations and supply chains. This statement sets out the steps that we have taken to identify and address the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains. Although not required by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to produce a statement we have done so voluntarily to show our commitment to eradicating modern slavery in all its forms.

Our Business

Brooks and Kirk Limited is a UK-based training provider that delivers a range of vocational courses to help individuals gain the skills and knowledge they need to pursue a career in training, assessment and quality assurance. We are committed to upholding ethical standards and promoting human rights in all of our business activities.

Our Supply Chains

We recognise that our supply chains can be complex and diverse, and we are committed to working with our suppliers to ensure that they share our values and commitment to preventing modern slavery. We engage with our suppliers through a range of measures, including supplier assessments, due diligence, and contractual obligations.

Risk Assessment

We have assessed the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chains and have identified that the risk of modern slavery is low. However, we remain vigilant and are committed to taking action if we identify any potential risks.

Policies and Procedures

We have a number of policies and procedures in place to prevent modern slavery, including:

Code of Conduct: We have a code of conduct that sets out our expectations of ethical behaviour from all of our employees and suppliers. This code of conduct includes specific provisions related to preventing modern slavery, such as a prohibition on using forced or compulsory labour, and requirements for suppliers to disclose information about their own policies and practices related to modern slavery.

Whistleblowing Policy: We have a whistleblowing policy that encourages employees to raise any concerns about potential modern slavery in our business or supply chains. We take all reports of potential modern slavery seriously and investigate them thoroughly.

Due Diligence: We conduct due diligence on all of our suppliers to ensure that they share our values and commitment to preventing modern slavery. This due diligence includes a review of the supplier’s policies and practices related to modern slavery, as well as on-site audits where appropriate.

Training and Awareness

We provide training and awareness to all of our employees on the risks of modern slavery and how to identify and report any potential instances of modern slavery. This training is provided to all employees as part of their induction process and is reinforced through regular updates and communication.

Monitoring and Evaluation

We monitor our business and supply chains to ensure that we are upholding our commitment to preventing modern slavery. This includes regular assessments of our suppliers and internal audits of our own policies and procedures related to modern slavery.

Conclusion

Brooks and Kirk Limited is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all of our operations and supply chains. We will continue to monitor our business and supply chains to ensure that we are upholding our commitment to ethical business practices and human rights. We recognise that preventing modern slavery is an ongoing process, and we will continue to review and improve our policies and procedures to ensure that we are doing everything we can to prevent modern slavery.
