Every Learner is Different (ELD) is all about showing anyone that is considering becoming an assessor, that there are no barriers with Brooks and Kirk. Whatever your area of expertise, age, location, employment status etc, we will have helped people similar to you before. ‘Similar’, but not the same, because every learner is different!
If you would like to be a part of our ELD campaign and share your story, then I’m only a phone call or email away 🙂
“My background is in Management in Adult Social Care. I’ve been in this field since 2004.”
What was your reason for looking to retrain as an Assessor?
“I’d left my full-time job as a Care Manager and wanted to try working as an Assessor, as I felt I had the qualifications and experience to help people gain a qualification in Health and Social Care.
Also, my kids were quite young and I wanted a job that was flexible whilst retaining and utilising my skills and knowledge so the Assessor course was perfect for me.”
How did you find out about us?
“I found Brooks and Kirk online when I was looking for the CAVA course.”
What did you think of your Assessor training experience with Brooks and Kirk?
“I really enjoyed the course and as a mum of 2 young children I liked that I could work at my own pace and always received feedback in a timely manner which helped me complete the course within my target. The Assessors were brilliant all the way through!
I also enjoyed the assessment day in London and meeting with other learners.”
What has changed since you completed your Assessor course and/or what are your intentions in the near future?
“I managed to secure a job with a training company on completion of my assessor course, however I’ve since left the company as we relocated. I’d like to start up my own training company providing NVQ’s in Health and Social Care as well as Apprenticeships and as such will need some assistance from Brooks and Kirk to set up!”
