How Long Will The CAVA Qualification Take?
If you’re thinking of completing the CAVA course you may be wondering how long will it take to complete. As our time is precious, we want to be able to utilise it effectively. This is why we’ve made our courses to be a mix of blended learning. So you can fit it around you and you can choose which centre you wish to come to for the day session. In our blog, we’re going to take you through how long the CAVA course will take. As well as see if your schedule will fit around it, as we get asked this question a lot. We wanted to have all the answers in one place for you!
Overview of the CAVA Qualification
The Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or CAVA. This qualifies you to assess a learner’s competency in their place of work and their learning environment. Once the qualification has been completed you’ll be a fully qualified assessor in your subject area. Additionally, you’ll be a qualified End-Point Assessor and be able to assess apprentices during their EPA.
The CAVA Assessor course is an industry-standard qualification! Regardless of your industry, if you want to assess learners in their workplace and learning environment, you will need the CAVA qualification. Furthermore, you can complete the majority of the course online through our Virtual Learning Environment. Then, come to one of our centres for the day for the practical session.
CAVA Guided Learning Hours?
So what are the guided learning hours for the CAVA course? In total, there are 84 guided learning hours. This means you can start as soon as you want. Or you can take your time, as we don’t have any deadlines or time constraints. On Average, it takes our learners 4-6 months to complete the course. Based on a couple of hours of study a week. However, if you need to achieve your CAVA qualification faster than that we do have an Express CAVA Assessor Course for you to consider. You still need to work to the same high standard but we do everything we can to help you get through as quickly as possible.
How long will it take to complete the CAVA Course?
So how long will it take? Many people ask us this question. To answer the question fully, we need to look at several outside factors. Such as the guided learning hours, as this is the total time you need to do to be able to complete the course. However, it’s completely down to you how quickly you want to complete the course. As some people may take longer to complete the course and others may fly through it! Unfortunately to answer the question is to say ‘how long is a piece of string’. It’s really difficult to put a timeframe on when you would finish. You need to look at your schedule as well.
How much time will your schedule allow you?
We all lead busy, fast-paced lives. With work commitments, family, friends and self-care. Taking this into account is essential. Not everyone will have the same amount of time to dedicate to the course. Meaning, sometimes the studying time is irregular and potentially interrupted. We notice that we get lots of submissions in the early hours, from night shift workers or early risers.
It is for this reason that we offer blended learning courses! So you can access the course from anywhere at any time. Making it completely convenient for you. From dipping in and out every now and then or dedicating days or a couple of hours each week to the course. Making it more flexible and achievable for you. Our team of assessors will always be available to help you if you need it!
Finally, if we haven’t tempted you enough to complete the course, you can contact our great course advisor team from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday to Friday at 01205 805 155 or you can email us at training@brooksandkirk.ac.uk.
