Course Information

Delivery

This qualification is predominantly delivered online through our bespoke virtual learning environment. Our in-house assessors have consolidated all of the assessment criteria you need to evidence into sequential, bite-sized tasks. This means no cross referencing for you, no daunting piles of paperwork and no overlapping of criteria you may have covered elsewhere.

We will also need to collect evidence of at least three 1 hour observations, which we can use to demonstrate a variety of teaching skills. This can either be observed by one of us here at Brooks and Kirk, or a suitability qualified individual within your organisation

Duration and Getting Started

As always with Brooks and Kirk, we don’t have set start and end dates for this course. This means that you can get started on your course straight away and either take as long as you need on your course or complete it as quickly as you like.

Support

On our online learning system, you would have access to a variety of resources such as training videos, directed research demonstrations and audio podcasts. You will be guided by qualified teachers and will have access to a dedicated team of tutors and assessors throughout your learning journey with us. Also, if you’re not too great with IT and computers don’t worry, we can provide one to one, on screen support to help you improve these skills too. It is all part of the package.

Entry Requirements

As part of the CET, you will need to evidence at least 30 hours of teaching practice and allow some of your lessons to be observed as evidence towards your qualification.

It also goes without saying that you will need to be occupationally competent in the subject you wish to teach. So providing you have at least 30 hours evidenced teaching practice and are occupationally competent in the area you wish to teach, you are good to go.
