These are a few comments from students on one of our recent Dementia courses:

I knew very little about dementia before this course, but it has helped me gain the information and knowledge I need to aid me in my caring.  I now understand that I need to personalise my care to the individual and take into account all acts and legislations when carrying out my caring. I really enjoyed this course”.

“I found this course very interesting and rewarding.  Through the information gained, I have improved my caring as a whole and I have changed the way I treat a dementia client for the better”.

“I now have a greater understanding on the different types of dementia and I am now able to differentiate between residents in my care home and how their needs vary”.

“This course made me reflect on my current practices and think of ways of improving how I approach some aspects of dementia care.  I found it very helpful looking at current legislations as I am now aware of the relevant acts that apply in the workplace.  Overall, it was a very interesting and helpful course”.
