Every Learner is Different (ELD) is all about showing anyone that is considering becoming an assessor, that there are no barriers with Brooks and Kirk. Whatever your area of expertise, age, location, employment status etc, we will have helped people similar to you before. ‘Similar’, but not the same, because every learner is different!
If you would like to be a part of our ELD campaign and share your story, then I’m only a phone call or email away 🙂
“My name is Victoria, and my field is Early Years. Prior to the pandemic, in my free time I would usually travel.”
What was your reason for looking to retrain as an Assessor?
“I had been in Early Years for about 8 years, and was looking for a change. So when I researched next steps, assessing seemed like a logical and achievable step forward.”
How did you find out about us?
“I was not in a further education setting, so I needed a company that could support me through the course without a need for me to be in a placement. That is how I came across you [Brooks and Kirk] who I found online.”
What did you think of your Assessor training experience with Brooks and Kirk?
“I really liked my training with Brooks and Kirk; it was easy to achieve the qualification with how straight forward the process was. I could work through at my own pace and my assessor kept in touch.
I think the qualification has also made me a quality assessor; almost three years on, I still apply the skills taught during my course in my every day practice.”
What has changed since you completed your Assessor course and/or what are your intentions in the near future?
“Before finishing the course, I had two job offers. I have changed to another company since then and I am still working as an Assessor now [in 2021].
I am now doing my IQA course with Brooks and Kirk and hoping to go into End-Point Assessing after the pandemic.”
