Who is delivering this EPA Training Day?

There will be 3 members of the experienced Brooks and Kirk team there on the day: Steve, Dan and Sam.

On behalf of Brooks and Kirk, Steve and Dan have supported over a thousand people through their assessor qualifications since the TAQA suite was introduced in 2010. They are both committed to promoting the opportunities that exist in End-Point Assessment by filling the current knowledge and skills gap regarding EPA.

Sam has written extensively around End-Point Assessment over the past couple of years, both for Brooks and Kirk and other industry leading websites. During this time, he has also developed relationships between Brooks and Kirk and a number of End-Point Assessment Organisations who we now provide assessor training solutions for.

Possible Employment Opportunities

Brooks and Kirk are working in partnership with NOCN to deliver this exclusive 1 day EPA course. If you haven’t come across NOCN before, you can find out more about them a little further down the page

But what we will tell you is that they, amongst many other End-Point Assessment Organisations, are actively looking to recruit independent Assessors. NOCN will have representatives there on the day networking with delegates, so there is even the possibility of genuine employment opportunities for attendees as well.

What does the EPA Workshop involve?

The training day will cover all the aspects of End-Point Assessment that you would need to understand and be competent in as an Independent End-Point Assessor.

Whilst there will be taught components, there will also be plenty of engagement opportunities throughout the day. Including: group discussions, interactive voting activities, a mock end-point assessment and more.

Here is an overview of the main areas we will be covering during the workshop:

  • Complete introduction to EPA;
  • Assessment Plans and Apprenticeship Standards;
  • Assessment Methods used within EPA and best practices;
  • Grading assessments;
  • Standardisation within EPA;
  • Professional Discussions and Interviews.

You will receive a more detailed breakdown on the day’s agenda in a reminder email closer to the date of the event.
