Life Before Brooks and Kirk
Before moving to assessing, Ciaran had worked in the education sector for around 8 years. As a Geography teacher, he spent a period coordinating Field Studies programmes and delivering lessons in outdoor environments in Switzerland. He then moved into one-to-one intensive education, with a neurological and clinical aspect in Sydney, Australia.Finding Brooks and Kirk
Ciaran was referred to Brooks and Kirk by the Leadership Team at his workplace, as they have lots of different contacts for staff development, for example; specifically for the training of assessors.Course Review
“One of the benefits I found was the flexability of the course and that there were no times scales to do the tasks. Once I did submit work it was always reacted to quite quickly by the assessors and I always received feedback quickly. It was always specific and easily actionable. The workshop day impressed me, espescially steve. It was a well planned, logical and methodical course day and I know my colleague had the same opinion who attended the same day as me. By the end of the day I felt prepared to go out and do what is required.”
Review left on our Facebook page
I have been very impressed with the quality of service provided by Brooks and Kirk. They allow for qualifications to be learner led, taking it at a pace suitable to the learner, in my case very quickly. The workshops within their offices were very well organized and delivered. The teaching staff were professional and supportive and the administrative team were very efficient and proactive ensuring that I had a quality and productive learning journey. I would highly recommend their services.
Life after the Assessor Course
Ciaran works as part of the ESF Team, but the business also has an Apprenticeship team. The goal for the business was to grow the apprenticeship side of things, so it would be an appropriate transition for Ciaran within his job role to do the assessor training as he brought the education background with him.
So now he been able to help apprentices, and says his new job role is good change.
