The Assessor/Coach Role
The Assessor/Coach is an exciting new role both within the business setting and the training sector as a whole.
They use their up-to-date occupational knowledge and skills to support vocational and professional development across many different settings. They may, for example, coach and assess learners or apprentices for a training provider or trainees and new recruits in their own workplace.

Delivery Model
At Brooks and Kirk, we pride ourselves in the level of support we give our employers and our learners. This includes unlimited tutor support throughout their qualification via telephone and email.
The apprenticeship is delivered through blended learning which included face-face visits, webinars, video conferencing and of course unlimited tutor support via telephone and email.

Course Cost
The course cost is £7,000 but it is fully funded under the Apprenticeship Levy Scheme. Non-levy payers are required to make a 5% employer contribution equating to only £350.
However, companies with less than 50 employees won’t have to pay this contribution if they employ an apprentice under the age of 19.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for this course, the apprentice would ideally have at least 5 GCSE’s (grade A* to C/9 to 5) or equivalent. This must include Maths English and ICT. They must also be already be qualified in the subject they will be assessing or coaching in.

Course Duration
The duration of the Assessor/Coach Apprenticeship is typically 15 months. However, each Apprentice is different, as is their working hours. So some may take just 12 months, others may take 24 months.
